Dear Members:
MUNASA strongly welcomes the various measures to be implemented for MPEX employees, particularly the adjustment of the salaries for M1 and excluded staff, that were announced yesterday, December 8th, by Human Resources (click here).
As you know, we at MUNASA have been tirelessly advocating for mitigating measures to help members cope with the unbearable financial strain due to the increasing cost of living.
We salute those new measures announced which will undoubtedly help to alleviate this burden for MUNASA members.
MUNASA will continue to have internal discussions with the University to further address issues of compensation with respect to salary increases to be implemented as of June 1, 2023.
On a final note, the return of floating days for all MPEX employees, eligible under the Policy, will restore equity. MUNASA has been pursuing this for many years.
